HYDERABAD, Nov 7: The coordinator of Fundamental Rights Commission, Abdul Jabbar Rehmani, has called upon the authorities to order the arrest of the office-bearers of Zeal Pak Cement Factory Employees Union (CBA) for what he called committing the economic murder of employees.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he alleged that cheques of golden handshake amount given to the employees had been dishonoured and the bungalows constructed in the Zeal Pak Cement Factory Colony on SITE land, which was the government property, were being sold.

He charged that the provident fund of employees had also been misused and added that this amounted to flagrant violation of fundamental rights of the employees.

He demanded of President Gen Pervez Musharraf and others to take legal action against the union office-bearers as the cheques had been dishonoured and also take action against the factory management for misuse of provident fund to restore justice.
