KARACHI, Nov 7: The Karachi Transport Federation has decided to support the strike call given by the religious parties for Friday, against the US-led coalition attack on Afghanistan.
In a meeting chaired by
KTF chief Saleem Khan Bangash, it was observed that the bombardment on Afghanistan was an inhuman and merciless act which could not be justified.
The meeting condemned the attack on the landlocked country and decided to endorse the strike call to express solidarity with the Afghans.
However, another major group of transporters — the Karachi Transport Ittehad — has announced not to support the strike call saying that they would keep the vehicles on the roads, on Friday.
Traders: The Alliance of Market Association, an umbrella of more than 100 market associations, has announced support for the strike call given by the Pakistan-Afghanistan Defence Council, for Friday, adds PPI.
