Boy dies as bomb explodes in Neelum

MUZAFFARABAD, Aug 15: A boy was killed and four others were injured when a bomblet or toy bomb exploded in the upper belt of Neelum Valley on Wednesday, an official here said.

SP Raja Ghulam Sarwar told Dawn that Shoaib, 15, son of Ghulam Nabi, died in the village of Kel, 190km northeast of here, after the bomblet he brought to his house from somewhere suddenly exploded.

His 7-year old sister, Shazia, and three other people, Nazir Hussain, 60, Lal Hussain, 35, and his father Shah Wali, 70, were injured in the explosion and admitted to a military hospital.
