KARACHI, Nov 7: Justice Shabbir Ahmed of Sindh High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Syed Muhammad Arif Shah in the sum of Rs0.5 million, allegedly involved in the removal/theft of 1,087kgs silver from custom warehouse-I with three other accused.
The court passed such an order as another co-accused was already enlarged on bail by the SHC.
Applicant’s counsel contended that his client was an ordinary employee who worked as watchman and was not permitted to enter the warehouse.
He argued that in these circumstances how can officials involve the applicant in this case.
The court conceded his arguments and allowed his bail application.—PPI
