KARACHI, Nov 7: The Department of Computer Science, University of Karachi, has released the list of candidates who have qualified for interviews for BS(Computer Science) admissions to the university.

Chairman of the department, Ghulam Ali, said that interviews of candidates would be held on November 13 and 14 at 10 am. In all 150 candidates have been declared as qualified for interviews.

The department has a capacity for a batch of 150 students every year. Giving a break down of seats, Mr Hussain said that 15 per cent of the total seats were allocated for applicants who applied on the self-finance basis, while the rest of the seats went to students on the merit basis, wards of teachers (6), disabled person (1) and sportsman/woman (1).

In all 2337 candidates appeared in the admission test and candidates having earned at least 48.05 % marks were cleared for further interviews, he added and mentioned that a second list could also be released after November 30, when the first round of admissions were completed.
