KARACHI, Aug 12: Six ships carrying containers and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as all the new arrivals were berthed. They are: Trade Harvest, PONL Singapore to unload and load containers, Octavia and Hyderabad to offload and load general cargo and Warbah to unload high speed diesel.
Five ships, Kota Indah, Hyundai Vladivostok, Sima Kija, Good Hope and Nur Yanbu departed, while Malakand, PONL Singapore, Warbah and Hyderabad are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Berth occupancy at both the dry wharves and the oil piers was maintained on the higher side at 50 per cent each thanks to steady arrivals and departures.
A total tonnage of 62,533 tons comprising 4,227 tons of export cargo and 58,306 tons of import tonnage was handled on Sunday.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Ievoli Shine, with 2,000 tons of chemicals, HSH Ubin, Kota Rukun, Oriental Bright, APL Pusan and Kota Salam, all with containers.
