Soil scientist rewarded

FAISALABAD, Aug 10: The Pakistan Academy of Sciences has declared Dr Muhammad Arshad, professor of department of soil science as the best scientist and awarded him a gold medal, cash prize and a certificate for his research work.

Dr Arshad did his PhD in Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, USA. He twice completed his research work from the same university.

Twenty nine of his research papers have been published in foreign journals while 36 in local scientific journals.
