PPP hails CEC’s stand

ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: Pakistan People’s Party on Wednesday welcomed the statement of the chief election commissioner that ministers desiring to contest the general elections must relinquish their offices before they file their nomination papers.

In a statement, a spokesman said: “The PPP hopes that the EC would enforce the announcement made by the CEC.”—Staff Reporter
