Wapda beaten

KARACHI, Aug 5: Hazara Mohammadan defeated Wapda 3-2 on penalty shootout to move into the quarterfinals in the All-Pakistan invitation football tournament at Baloch Mujahid Stadium Monday.

Hazara Mohammadan held ten-man Wapda 1-1 in the stipulated time, although they had only nine players in the field.

Both the sides were reduced to ten players in the 9th minute when Hazara Mohammadan’s Shabbir Ahmad and Wapda’s Shakeel Ahmad received marching orders for rough play.

Wapda took the lead through Zulfiqar in the 16th minute. Hazara Mohammadan’s Rizwan Ahmad equalised in the 68th minute.

Hazara Mohammadan lost another player when Naeem Khan was sent off after the second yellow card in the 83rd minute.
