SUKKUR, Aug 5: The Sukkur District Council, through a unanimously approved resolution, on Monday urged the government to postpone the proposal of construction of the Reni canal.
It further urged the government to spend the Rs30 billion, allocated for the Reni canal project, on the improvement the existing irrigation system of the province.
Naib Nazim, Sukkur district council, Iqbal Dawood, presided over the meeting.
