PESHAWAR, Aug 5: The NWFP governor, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, has said 17 mega uplift projects are at different stages of implementation in various parts of Peshawar, and urged the executing agencies to work with full capacity and devotion to materialize these plans within the shortest possible time.
He was presiding over a high-level meeting to review progress on the development projects on Monday here.
The governor directed the authorities concerned to develop separate markets for motor-bargaining business and shift all the existing bargain centres on University, Cantt and GT roads.
He also expressed the desire to completely ban the building of new bargain centres on the busy roads in the city and cantonment limits.
