HYDERABAD, Aug 5: The central executive of the Sindh Hari Committee at a meeting held on Sunday condemned the proposed rehabilitation of the Kalabagh dam project-affected people in Sindh and demanded that the allotment of lands of the Sindh province to the Kalabagh dam affected people should be stopped forthwith.

Azhar Jatoi presided over the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, he said that the Sindh province was rich in natural resources but the rulers under a planned conspiracy had taken away these resources by force.

He said Punjab had robbed Sindh of its wealth as a result of which the people of Sindh were in the grip of hunger and unemployment.

The meeting rejected the constitutional package and demanded that in accordance with the 1940 Resolution, a new constitution should be drafted in which equal rights to all the nations should be guaranteed.

In yet another resolution, it demanded due share in water resources for Sindh and called for an inquiry into the Rohri Canal breach.
