Bashir denied bronze

MANCHESTER, Aug 4: Indian grappler Anil Kumar Mann denied his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Bashir Bhola bronze medal in the upto 96-kg class wrestling competition of the Commonwealth Games Sunday.

The gold in this weight category went to Canasuan Dean Schmeichel who defeated Victor Kodei of Nigeria.

RESULTS OF SUNDAY;S FINALS:

Up to 60 kgs: Guivi Sissaouri (Canada) beat Shokinder Tomar (India).

Bronze medal: Tebe Dorgu (Nigeria) beat Cory O’Brien (Australia).

Up to 74 kgs: Daniel Igali (Canada) beat Sunday Opiah (Nigeria).

Bronze medal: Rein Ozoline (Australia) beat Wynand Jacobs (Namibia).

Up to 96 kgs: Dean Schmeichel (Canada) beat Victor Kodei (Nigeria).
