PESHAWAR, Aug 4: The Pakistan People’s Party (Sherpao) has fixed Aug 15 as the last date for the submission of applications for national and provincial assembly seats. The desirous candidates should send the applications along with relevant documents and non-refundable bank drafts to the party central secretariat.

This was decided at a joint meeting of the central and provincial cabinets, presided over by the party chairman, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao.

The meeting constituted six-member Parliamentary Board headed by Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao. Its other members are Kamran Khan, Ahmed Hassan Khan, Iqbal Hussain Khattak Ghanidad Khan and Zafar Iqbal Awan. The parliamentary board will take decisions regarding party tickets for October general elections.

It was decided in the meeting to field candidates on all national and provincial assembly seats.

PPP(S) NWFP will hold weekly meetings to review the political situation and other matters.
