Protest against custodial death

SUKKUR, Aug 1: Hundreds of villagers of Ubauro and Daharki blocked the National Highway on Thursday in protest against the killing of a boy, Abdul Wahid, in the custody of Kot Sabzal (Punjab) police.

The protesters carrying the body blocked the highway and demanded the termination of several policemen including the SHO of the Kot Sabzal police station on the charge of killing Abdul Wahid who had been picked up by the police from a nearby village in a theft case.

When contacted, the Kot Sabzal SHO said that the boy died due to heart failure .
