CHITRAL, Aug 1: A major of Chitral Scouts and his minor daughter died, while his wife and son were seriously injured when their jeep plunged into a ravine here on Wednesday night.

Major Dr Naseeb Sarwar was coming to the city along with his family in a jeep when the vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep ravine near Singoor village. As a result, Naseeb and his six-year-old daughter died on the spot, while his wife and son sustained serious injuries.

The bodies were sent to Peshawar by a PIA flight for onward journey to their home city Jhelum. The injured were shifted to Rawalpindi in a helicopter on Thursday.
