Eight outlaws arrested

LANDI KOTAL, Aug 1: The political administration of Jamrud arrested eight outlaws in its campaign against criminals and proclaimed offenders the other day.

Five proclaimed offenders were rounded up in the raid on the Malik Gul Rakhman Kaley locality. Identified as Sher Zamin, Imtiaz, Anwar Said, Hukam Khan and Anwar Khan, they were wanted to the Swabi police for their alleged involvement in various cases.

The administration, in another operation, seized 166 bottles of foreign liquor at two different godowns and arrested Zarin Shah, Nadir Shah and Amjad.

During the same raid, the police arrested an Afghan national, Ashiqullah, and recovered a wireless set from his possession.

Two illegal electricity transformers were also seized during the raid.

ACCIDENT: Masraf Shah died when the Toyota corolla (SLC 29) he was driving overturned on the Jamrud-Peshawar Road on Thursday.
