Killer of three children held

FAISALABAD, July 31: The local police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested an accused who had killed three children some two months ago in Khurrianwala police station area.

Police said Mehboob Ali of Chak 54-RE had made a clean breast of killing Afzal, Amjad and Yaseen. Police also recovered the body of Afzal from a field while interrogating the accused for the recovery of bodies of two other boys.

Police claimed the accused was mentally fit and he committed the crime after minor altercations with parents of the children.

ARRESTED: Batala Colony police have arrested four persons, including a factory owner, on the charge of preparing spurious mobil oil in Raja Ghulam Rasool Nagar here on Wednesday.

On a tip-off, a police team raided the factory and caught red-handed Muhammad Akram and his three employees and sealed the factory.

The police have sent them to jail after registering a case against them.
