PESHAWAR, July 31: The NWFP cabinet on Wednesday approved the extension of lease of Swat Serena Hotel and welcomed the investment of Rs70 million committed by the lessee to preserve and upgrade the historic building.

In a meeting presided over by Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, the cabinet decided that proper administrative setup would be created in Kala Dhaka to solve administrative and other problems.

It reviewed proposals regarding the status of sub-division for Kala Dhaka and extension of local government system there.  

The cabinet constituted a committee to be headed by Education Minister Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani for promotion of information technology education in the province.

It discussed the revised report of cabinet sub-committee and proposals from the establishment department on career progression of officers of the District Management Group for submission to the federal government.
