DADU: Man dies in tribal clash

DADU, July 30: A man was shot dead and six other persons, including a woman, were injured in a clash between two groups of Leghari tribesmen in Jumo Khan Laghari village, Johi taluka, on Monday.

The armed clash continued for two hours as a result Shabbir Ahmed Laghari, 15, died on the spot and Ms Nazeeran, Gulab, Mazhar, Ayub, Majeed, and Sono sustained bullet injuries.

The injured were admitted to the Johi taluka hospital.

The Khasibo police have registered a case against 11 persons.

The cause of the clash was an old enmity between the two groups.

POLIO: Anti-polio drops were administered in 38 union councils of Kotri, Dadu and Sehwan talukas, declared high risk areas. Some 600 teams administered the polio drops to 231,487 children under five years.
