SARGODHA, July 27: Punjab Auditor-General Wazir Ahmad Qureshi said on Saturday that the system to make payments to public health engineering, highways, buildings and housing and other departments required basic changes.
Talking to newsmen here, the AG said that he had directed all his subordinates to work in accordance with rules and regulation and ignore the pressure put by the elected people.
He said that the bills submitted by the District Nazim were not approved because there were no vouchers of expenditure.
