PESHAWAR, July 26: Pesha-war police arrested on Friday two women allegedly involved in car-snatching from various localities of the city.
A taxi-driver, Amanullah, informed the police that two women, along with a young man, booked his taxi for Rs400 to Matni area near Peshawar.
On reaching the destination, the driver further said, the passengers insisted on driving the car to the tribal area which he refused. Following which, he added, four armed men appeared from the nearby fields, tied him to a tree with a rope and drove away the car towards the tribal area.
The police have arrested Nasreen and Ishrat alias Jamila, in connection with car-snatching. Both have confessed to the car-snatching and other unlawful acts.— Correspondent
