KARACHI, July 26: The department of Microbiology, University of Karachi, has initiated an eight-week computer certificate training course for M.Sc. students.

This was announced by a spokesman for the Karachi University on Friday. Dean of faculty of Science, Dr Raunaq Raza, performed the inauguration of the course the classes of which are being held in the specially renovated computer lab. As many as 63 students of M.Sc. are taking part in the course.

An introductory course on bioinformatics has also been included in the course which has been so designed that the students can benefit more in connection with their research work.—APP
