ISLAMABAD, July 21: A three-day festival, celebrating Pakistani art and culture, will be organized at Oslo, Norway, from September 6 to 8.
The cultural exposition will include demonstrations of Pakistani artisans at work in creating folk crafts like camel- skin lamps, Namda and Gabba.
The festival will also feature music, thus providing an opportunity to Pakistanis, who have grown up in Norway, to learn about the rich cultural heritage of their native country.
There will be also an exhibition, called ‘art on wheels’, featuring art work on trucks — a genre of Pakistani art that has received a lot of world admiration. The culture ministry has asked the Lok Virsa to organize the cultural presentation at Oslo.
