KARACHI, July 21: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf on Friday held election for office-bearers of its Karachi chapter and town presidents.

According to a press release, those elected are: president, Amanullah Paracha; general secretary, Syed Nafees Haider; and information secretary, Chaudhry Arslan Gujjar.

Town presidents: Sabir Ali Raza for Baldia, Imamdin Shaikh for Gadap, Haji Iqbal Silawat for Saddar, Ashraf Nawaz for Gulshan, Haq Nawaz for Kaemari, Sohail Rizwani for Gulberg, Abdul Qayum Jilani for Defence Cantonment Board, Mohammad Moin for Shah Faisal, Abdul Majeed Khanzada for Malir, Sarwar Rajput for North Nazimabad, Shahid Ramzan for Jamshed, Amjad Shah for Orangi, Nawaz Akhtar for Bin Qasim, Shahzad Humayoon for Landhi, Ghulam Nasim for Korangi and Dr Liaquat for North Karachi.

Ladies wing president, Nasreen Sarwar, lawyers welfare wing president, Qadir Khan Mandokhel, and labour wing president, Abdullah Rind, were also elected.
