KGA Gym capture trophy

KARACHI, July 19: A fiery spell of pace bowling by Rajesh Ramesh enabled KGA Gymkhana lift the KPI Invitation minority (late) Pesi Nanavati trophy after beating old rivals KPI Gymkhana by 105 runs at KPI ground.

Batting first, KGA reached 205 all out in 33.3 overs with Sham Ramesh (49), Jonathan Rodrigues (45) and Hilary Rodrigues (21), among the leading scorers. Vinod Ramesh was the pick of the KPI attack, claiming four wickets for 42 runs.

With Rajesh getting good support from Patrick Deniz, who claimed four for 30 runs , KPI slumped to 65 for eight wickets, but finally were bowled out for 100 runs in 21.3 overs, with Rajesh also claiming four wickets for 30 runs.

David Decruze top scored for the home team with 36 runs and Hormuz Mana weighed in with 20.
