HYDERABAD, July 18: More than 100 students, parents and teachers of the Community Action Education Centre and National Child Rehabilitation Centre, held an advocacy walk here on Thursday to create awareness against child labour.
The participants of the walk carried banners and placards against child labour.
The centres, which organized the event, are run by the Human Resources Development Institute with the assistance from the European Commission, International Labour Organization and Pakistan Baitul Maal.
In the centres, the students between the age of five and 14 years are imparted education up to fifth class.
The children are also given daily stipend and their parents are provided subsistence allowance to enable the poor children to complete their primary education.
