Drivers robbed

SUKKUR, July 17: Some 25 truck drivers were looted by a group of 30 armed bandits on the Sukkur-Shikarpur Road near the Jahan Khan police post on Wednesday.

The bandits blocked the highway and on gun point robbed the truck drivers of cash, ornament and other valuables.

Later, the truck drivers blocked the highway and raised slogans against police.

The police reached on the spot and dispersed the truck drivers.

Shikarpur SP claimed that an encounter took place between the police and the bandits.
