HYDERABAD, July 17: About a dozen employees of the Population Welfare Department (PWD), under the aegis of the All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca), staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Wednesday against the merger of the other departments’ employees into the PWD.

Addressing the rally, the president of Apca, family planning, Sindh, Muhammad Piral Dayo, assailed the alleged injustices against the local employees and the transfer of Sindhi employees to the surplus pool.

He demanded of the federal government to withdraw the decision of transferring the welfare department projects to the health department.

Others who addressed the rally included Dost Ali Shaikh, Imtiaz Ali Hashmani, Dur Muhammad Thaheem and Syed Ali Shah.
