KARACHI, July 17: State-run National Bank has announced 3.30 per cent profit on saving accounts for the half year ended on June 30, 2002.
The bank has announced 3.20 per cent return on 7-29 days special notice deposits and 4 per cent return on over 30 days special notice deposits.
The rates of return announced by the bank on term deposits are as follows: three months 5 per cent; six months 6 per cent; one year 6.80 per cent; two years 7 per cent; three years 7.20 per cent; four years 7.50 per cent and five years and above 8 per cent.
BANK OF KHYBER: The Bank of Khyber has announced 4.5 per cent profit on saving accounts for the half year ended on June 30, 2002.
The bank has announced 3.5 per cent profit on 7-day notice deposits and 4 per cent profit on 30-day notice deposits.
Following are the rates of return on BOK special deposits accounts: 3.5 per cent up to Rs99,999; 4.5 per cent up to Rs5 million; 5.5 per cent up to Rs8 million and 6.5 per cent on special deposits worth more than Rs8 million.
The profit rates on fixed term deposits are as follows: two months 5.5 per cent; three months 6 per cent; six months 7 per cent; one year 7.5 per cent; two years 8 per cent; three years 8.25 per cent; four years 8.5 per cent and five years 8.75 per cent.
The bank has announced 9 per cent return on the deposits mobilized under Khyber monthly scheme.
METROPOLITAN: Metropolitan Bank Ltd. has announced 9.50 per cent return on saving accounts for the half year ended on June 30, 2002.
The bank has announced 6 per cent return on 7-29 days notice deposits and 7 per cent return on 30 days and above notice deposits.
Following are the fixed deposit rates: 8.25 per cent on one month; 8.50 per cent on three months; 9.50 per cent on six months; 10 per cent on one year; 10.50 per cent on two years; 11.25 per cent on three years; 11.75 per cent on four years and 12.50 per cent on five years.
