HYDERABAD, July 16: The Sindh government has nominated 18 members on the Board of Governors of the Sindhi Adabi Board for three years with immediate effect.

Ghulam Rabbani Agro, a noted scholar, has been appointed as the chairman while the culture secretary, education secretary, finance secretary and EDO, education, Hyderabad, have been appointed as ex-officio members.

The other members are Dr Hameeda Khoro, Dr K.M. Larik, Dr Mohammad Ali Bhatti, Syed Ali Mir Shah, Hyderabad District Nazim, Dr Khadim Hussain, Dr Mohammad Anwar, Prof Qavi Ahmad, Nawab Saifuddin Leghari, Aalya Soomro, Rasool Bux Shaikh, Niaz Panhwar and Mir Ghulam Ullah Talpur.

TRIBUTE: Tributes were paid to the former vice- principal of the Liaquat Medical College, Jamshoro, the late Zafarul Haq Siddiqui, at a condolence meeting held at the Liaquat University campus on Tuesday.

The university registrar, Prof Abdul Latif Soomro, presided over the meeting.
