LAHORE, July 13: The City District Government will transfer the control of its 64 industrial schools to lady councillors.

District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood disclosed this during a meeting with Union Council Nazimeen belonging to the Pakistan Peoples Party, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and the Jamaat-i-Islami here on Saturday.

He said that the control of lady councillors would improve the performance of the industrial schools and more women would get chances to learn various handicrafts.

He said that 25 per cent budget of every union council would be utilized in the light of the recommendations of the citizen community boards from the current financial year. Of 150 boards, the names of 142 had been finalized.
