Eight POs arrested; illicit arms seized

GUJRAT, July 12: The district police claim arresting eight proclaimed offenders during a midnight operation and recovered illicit arms from their possession.

A press release issued here on Friday revealed that several teams conducted raids in various localities and arrested eight POs. Those arrested include Sabir Hussain, Ansar alias Nasri Shah, Asif, Sajid Bashir, Khalid Bashir and Zaigham Abbas.

Police also recovered two Kalashnikovs, one pump action gun, seven rifles and a huge quantity of cartridges from their possession.
