ISLAMABAD, July 11: Gohar Ayub Khan on Thursday submitted his resignation to the president of Pakistan Muslim League (QA) as party’s Secretary General.

“I tendered my resignation in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the condition of graduation for a candidate in the forthcoming elections,” he told APP.

The only reason is that “I am unable to contest the forthcoming election,” he said.

The PML leader said the condition of graduation would also be applicable for holding any office of a political party under the Political Parties Order, 2002. —APP
