ISLAMABAD, July 8: The education ministry has finally initiated the effective management project to make good governance a reality.

The project has been started under education sector reforms (ESR) keeping in view the requirements at the grass roots level.

Recently, a workshop was organized to conceptualize the participants about the educational planning and management under the new concept of good governance and devolution of power.

An official statement said that the project aimed at imparting training to the educational managers who were engaged in multifarious activities at the district level.

The new system, the statement said, would bring transparent and optimum impact on the delivery of goods and services at the very doorstep of the common people.

The programme will help in developing training programmes for effective management of educational institutions by the district level managers to link them with the institutions of national and international repute for the exchange of information and training.

The training package will provide human resource development and capacity building within the context of emerging challenges, due to structural changes in the education sector.
