Man kills wife

FAISALABAD, July 8: A girl was shot dead allegedly by her husband over a domestic dispute in Chak 44-JB, Chak Jhumra, here on Monday.

Faiza Bibi was married to Zafar Ali a couple of years ago. The family of Zafar was facing financial problems. On Monday, the couple exchanged hot words over the money issue. Following an exchange of hot words, Zafar fired at his wife killing her on the spot.

SUICIDE: A girl committed suicide by taking poison over a domestic dispute in Chak 89-JB, Thikriwala, on Monday.

Rashida, 19, took poison following a quarrel with her mother over a petty dispute. She died on way to hospital.

BEATEN UP: A Fesco team was beaten up allegedly by some residents of Samanabad here on Monday.

Reports said when a Fesco team, headed by SDO Bilal Irshad, tried to disconnect the power connection of a house on the charge of default, house owner Rafiq along with accomplices attacked the team and gave a sound thrashing to its members.

The Factory Area police have registered a case.

ELECTROCUTED: A youth was electrocuted in Sharifpura here on Monday.

Rafiq received an electric shock when he tried to switch off an electric pump and died instantly.
