Pace of power transfer reviewed

QUETTA, July 8: District governments have been established in all the 22 districts of Balochistan under the power devolution plan, which were performing smoothly.

A meeting, which held here on Monday and presided over by Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal, was informed that the government has provided offices, staff, transport and other necessary facilities to district, tehsil and union councils.

The meeting reviewed the pace of transfer of power to the local governments in the province and discussed the financial system and taken various decisions in this connection.

The provincial Local Bodies minister Mir Hussain Bukhsh Bangulzai, chief secretary Pervez Saleem, additional chief secretary planning and development Ahmed Bukhsh Lahri, provincial secretary finance and other officials also attended the meeting.
