KARACHI: Four bandits arrested

KARACHI, July 8: The Anti-Car Lifting Cell, on Monday, arrested four bandits and recovered four pistols and live bullets from their possession.

According to details, the ACLC Sharifabad police, during routine snap-check of vehicles, intercepted a cab (JM-0886) carrying four passengers, including a veiled man.

After thorough checking, police recovered four pistols and live bullets from their possession, while the number-plate displayed on the car was also detected as fake. The original registration number of the cab was (JM-0866).

After initial inquiry, it was revealed that they were involved in several robberies, while one of them usually wore a black cloak to dodge the public.

The arrested include Sher Rehman (taxi driver), Javed Khan, Sabir Khan and Mohammad Ayub — residents of Malakand, NWFP and who were released from jail two months back. They are wanted by the police in five different cases.—PPI
