KARACHI, July 8: The vice-chancellor, University of Karachi, has asked all its faculty deans, heads of various teaching departments and directors of research institutions to submit details of their research and teaching activities before July 17.

The directive was issued on Monday in order to apprise the federal government of teaching and research activities at the university and to get maximum grants from both the federal and the provincial institutions for improvement in the university’s activities.

DIRECTOR: Taking cognizance of complaints of harassment by girl students of the Centre of Excellence, Marine Biology, against its director Dr Makhdoom Hussain, KU vice- chancellor Dr Zafar Saeed Saify has ordered his replacement with Dr Itrat Zehra as director.—PPI
