NOWSHERA, July 7: A man and his wife were killed and their son was seriously injured when unidentified assailants forcibly entered their house and opened fire on them at the Kherabad Afghan refugee camp on Saturday night.

The Akora Khattak police have registered a double-murder case against the unknown killers.

An Afghan refugee, Mohammad Hussain, son of Mohammad Alam, resident of Kunduz province of Afghanistan, told the police that his brother-in-law Asal Khan, son of Abdur Rehman, was sleeping in the house along with other members of the family when the assailants entered the house and opened fire on them. Asal Khan and his wife Sadia Zia died on the spot

. Their son Habib Rasool was shifted to the DHQ hospital, Nowshera, in a serious condition.
