KARACHI, July 6: The Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS) at an emergency meeting on Saturday denounced the KU administration for issuing “false press releases and false statements” regarding KUTS’ president and secretary’s meeting with the vice-chancellor

According to a press release, KUTS said that the VC and his administration were trying to exploit the good intentions of KUTS to resolve issues through dialogue.

The meeting decided to discuss all issues in a general body meeting on July 17. It also decided that its office-bearers including the president and the secretary would boycott all official functions and would not meet the KU administration including the VC till July 17.

The KUTS executive council also lambasted the KU administration for issuing another press release regarding withdrawal of their demand about the replacement of the registrar KU, and termed it a pack of blatant lies.—PPI
