KARACHI, July 6: Bandits took away 18 vehicles — ten cars and eight motorcycles — in various parts of the metropolis on Saturday, police sources said.

Four cars were taken away at gunpoint and six others stolen from different localities including Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i- Johar, Saddar, Clifton, North Nazimabad, Ferozabad, etc.

Four motorcycles were hijacked and an equal number stolen in several parts including North Karachi, Gulberg, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Saddar and other areas.

Police claimed to have recovered eight stolen cars (U-7373, M-0281, AAX-322, CG-7939, PH-4156, CB-9516, S-6386) and four motorbikes (BRA-1963, KAK-7532, and KCI-4239).

ROBBERIES: Four holdups were committed in various parts of metropolis by the dacoits on Saturday.

Bandits forcibly entered into Muhammad Khalid house, took the family hostage at gunpoint, collected cash, jewellery and valuables and fled with the loot.
