PCSIR to set up lab in Quetta

QUETTA, July 5: The federal government will establish a PCSIR laboratory in Quetta for which it has allocated a sum of Rs20.72 million in Federal Public Sector Development Programme 2002-03, said official sources here on Friday.

It has also allocated Rs5 million and Rs10 million in Federal PSDP 2002-03 for strengthening of laboratories and libraries of science faculties of Balochistan University and laboratories and libraries of civil, electrical and mechanical departments of UET, Khuzdar respectively.

For the introduction of new technologies in Polytechnic Institute, Quetta, and for renovation of Girls Guide House, Quetta, the federal government has allocated Rs4.307m and Rs4.067m respectively in its current fiscal year PSDP.

Another Rs1.801m have been allocated for the development of Balochistan University including its computer science department.—APP
