Policeman hurt as tribesmen fight

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 7: A police constable got seriously injured by a stray bullet when two groups of Zardaris and Maachis clashed over transportation of the pilgrims at the Urs of Pir Chand Shah at Shahpur Jahania late on Saturday night.

The Urs is celebrated every year.

The firing erupted when police used batons to disperse the fighting groups.

The constable is identified as Nazeer Ahmed Chandio.

The bullet pierced through the right part of his chest.He was admitted to Civil Hospital, Nawabshah.

Moro police have lodged a case under section 353-234

PPC, 7 ATA and have arrested five persons from both groups.

INJURED: A man identified as Nooral Vistro, was burnt and his both the hands were cut, when he was mashing sulphur at his shop, in Shahi Bazar here on Sunday.

He has been admitted at a Nawabshah hospital, where he is stated to be serious.

SEIZED: Moro police on a tip-off, raided the house of Abdullah Korai and Maqbool Korai and recovered two drums of local made liquor.

The Moro police have registered an FIR under section 34 EHO.
