Another defeat for holder Waqar

KARACHI, July 1: Fide Master Omer Khan occupied the leaders position despite a draw against unfancied Raees Ansari in the eighth round of the Sindh Class Championship at the Karachi Chess Academy Sunday evening.

Ansari started confidently and put Omer under pressure in the middle game. But experienced master hold him to a draw.

National Master Haseeb Ahmed handed out another defeat to reigning champion Waqar Ahmed to almost ended his chances to finish among the top three.
