MULTAN, Oct 7: A Tehrik-i-Jafria Pakistan (TJP) leader’s guard was killed while his son sustained injuries in a road accident here on Sunday.

Muntazar Mehdi, along with his son Ali Haider, 17, and guard Haq Nawaz, 55, was on his way to the Lahore High Court (Multan bench) when his motorcycle collided head on with a car.

Haq Nawaz died on the spot while injured Haider was taken to the Nishtar Hospital in critical condition.

ISO activists: Dozens of activists of Imamia Students Organization on Sunday protested in front of the Multan Press Club against the recent terrorism in Karachi.

Expressing concern before the participants of the rally, ISO Multan president Rizwan Kazmi said the government should deal the culprits with an iron fist.

Others who attended the demonstration included Bosan Road College ISO president Sajid Sagana, Civil Lines College ISO president Ali Kazmi and Technology College ISO president Mureed Yazdani. —Nouman
