PESHAWAR, June 27: Pakistan deported about 100 illegal Afghans via Torkham checkpoint, some 45km west from Peshawar on Thursday, officials said.
The border security forces and the Khyber Agency’s Khasadar force arrested Afghans near Ali Masjid during the last couple of days, reportedly sneaking into the tribal area through unfrequented routes.
Officials said Peshawar police also arrested over 20 Afghans for their illegal stay in Pakistan. The agency’s political administration handed over the illegal immigrants to the Afghan authorities at Torkham check-post.
