KARACHI, June 27: The Sindh education department is planning to hold second phase of over 525 teachers’ training, titled “professional development of head teachers” in Karachi from 2nd week of July.

Training of head teachers of over 2084 Middle Schools is part of training Programme, launched by the department, in collaboration with Asian Development Bank under Middle School Project (MSP), Sindh.

During the course of training, approximately 105 teachers and heads of middle schools each from all five defunct districts of Karachi would be imparted training to enhance their financial, managerial and administrative skills, whereas they would also be able to mobilise community participation after getting the training.

The whole training programme would be conducted by EDO Education of City District Government, Karachi for which MSP would act as a supervisory and monitoring authority.

For the purpose, MSP has trained 156 master trainers of head teachers in the first phase of project, who now be available to impart teaching, managerial, financial and academic training to 2084 heads of middle schools, all over the province.

Some 105 heads of middle schools have been selected from all 16 city governments who would be trained after the completion of initial phase of “professional development of head teachers” programme.—PPI
