LAHORE, June 23: The Functional Muslim League is extending invitations to leaders of various factions of the Pakistan Muslim League for participation in its June 30 meeting here. Pir Pagara is scheduled to preside over the meeting.
Leaders of other factions will participate as observers.
According to Sheikh Sirajuddin, a central leader of the party, after the reluctance shown by the PML(QA) efforts have been started afresh to merge the remaining groups. Contacts are now being made with leaders of these groups. Sheikh Siraj was optimistic that the factions would get united during the next few weeks. —Staff Reporter
