KARACHI, June 20: A United Sates Federal Bureau of Investigation team on Thursday hovered over the site of the June 14 blast outside the US consulate, in which 12 persons died.

Sources said that the FBI team was flown over the blast site in a helicopter belonging to the Sindh police. Senior police officials accompanied the team.

The flight was aimed at assessing the impact of the blast from a different dimension, the sources said.

Throughout the flight, the team was in communication with the officials on the ground.

Meanwhile, rangers accompanied by some FBI officials raided an apartment complex in Kharadar on Wednesday night and detained some foreign nationals residing their.

Some equipment, including computers and software, were also taken into possession from the apartment, sources said.

The raid was conducted without informing the local police, a police official confirmed. The nationalities of the detained persons could not be known.
